Topic: Using Child Care Management Systems to Support Coaching, Data, and Business Growth
Session Description:
Join Amy Friedlander and Johanna Borden from Opportunities Exchange (OppEx) for a conversational session exploring how child care management systems, such as Brightwheel, can support coaching initiatives, data collection, and day-to-day business operations. This is not intended to be a comprehensive CCMS training or software demonstration. Instead, the session will highlight practical experiences and lessons learned from the field.
The discussion will feature:
A brief overview from Amy and Johanna (approximately 10 minutes) on the role of CCMS tools in supporting providers and coaches.
A short presentation from a business coach (approximately 10 minutes) sharing how data and reporting can inform coaching conversations and goal setting.
A provider perspective (approximately 10 minutes) discussing how using a CCMS has impacted daily operations, organization, and business management.
An extended open conversation and Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas, and learn from one another's experiences.
This peer-learning format is designed to spark discussion, share practical insights, and help participants think about how technology and data can support stronger child care businesses in ways that are meaningful to their local work.
By the end of the session, participants will better understand how child care management systems can serve as valuable business tools that support continuous improvement, strengthen coaching initiatives, and help providers build resilient, data-driven businesses.
